For every person who was raised through 80s, the music from that era has remained in his heart. When we listen to 80s music it takes us back many years like a time machine. All those memories and thoughts come to our mind instantly. The music of 1980s features in our life as if it was part of us. It brings back every good and bad memory that happened at that time.

Music flourished during 1980s and it was great time for pop music as well. Singers like Madonna, Tina Turner and Whitney Houston dominated the pop music scene in the female category. It was the time when Michael Jackson was considered the king of pop music and Madonna was the queen. This decade started brought the female singers in the forefronts of music industry. There were numerous female singers that became popular but out of all these Madonna, Tina Turner and Whitney Houston were many steps ahead of everyone.

There is no doubt about who was the best female pop singer in 80s. Although many would argue that she is still the best and no one can deny that. Madonna produced so many songs that topped the charts and she broke every record along the way to reach the top. There is no singer like Madonna in the history of music. She is the one who not only revolutionized the pop music but also taught others singers how to succeed. She is still producing chart topping singles after 25 years, which is an amazing feat in itself.

Tina Turner

In 1980s, Tina Turner had a legendary status that Madonna has got right now. She had passed couple of decades into the music industry by then and was so much popular and achieved commercial success at the same time. In 80s Tina Turner gave super hit songs and these are considered her classic music. People still love them and enjoy listening to them.

Whitney Houston

She was a true diva in every sense. Whitney was R&B singer and produced many singles that are considered to be 80s classics. She was equally good at upbeat as well as slower songs. Her song “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” was among her most popular upbeat songs. Among the slower tracks “The Greatest Love of All” was equally good. There was no comparison to Whitney when she used to belt high notes.
